Best Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Programs in 2018 (On-Campus & Online)

Neonatal nursing is not for the faint of heart. There are good days and bad days and a fantastic neonatal nurse practitioner degree can prepare nurses for the challenging yet rewarding life of a neonatal nurse. There are plenty of reasons why a nurse might want to transition to a position as a neonatal nurse practitioner, those that hold an NNP certification are able to help other nurses, are in a position of leadership, and are able to do more for their patients.

Most neonatal programs offer an online format that allows neonatal nurses to continue the work while they obtain their higher degree. The average pay for a NNP is around $107,550 per year.
